Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager to support a large real estate client based in Virginia Beach. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting, a valid CPA license, and strong experience supervising direct reports.

This role will be responsible for the accurate financial consolidation and the coordination and the compilation of the consolidated financial statements and additional periodic financial filings with the SEC.

This position is expected to collaborate with the entire accounting function to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information and holds the primary responsibility for researching technical accounting questions as well as supporting the Director of Accounting in managing the firm's accounting policies in support of the comprehensive accounting function. The Financial Reporting Manager also ensures timely, complete, and accurate recording of books and records attributable to corporate level activities as part of the accounting close and reporting cycle, including the Company's debt and derivatives portfolio and real estate financing segment activity.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field of study.

CPA or CPA candidate.

6+ years' accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.

Understanding of US GAAP accounting and disclosure requirements.

Experience reviewing and/or drafting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to deliver quality financial information within strict reporting deadlines.

Ability to identify important transaction details and identify relevant accounting guidance.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite. Master's degree in Accounting is a strong plus

Previous experience in a publicly traded firm

Knowledge of ViewPoint and/or Yardi accounting software a plus.

Knowledge of Workiva financial reporting software a plus. null
