As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our success by overseeing the sourcing of equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing our vendor relationships. This multifaceted role spans the entire procurement lifecycle, from initial need identification to final delivery, encompassing demand management, supply analysis/strategy, supplier identification, sourcing, contract negotiation, delivery planning and monitoring, purchasing, and ongoing performance management and improvement.
Responsibilities
Develop, lead, and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and enhance overall effectiveness.
Craft negotiation strategies and successfully close deals with optimal terms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear and detailed requirements documentation.
Forecast price and market trends to proactively identify changes in the balance of buyer-supplier power.
Conduct cost scenario analysis and benchmarking to inform decision-making.
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
Identify and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Determine quantity and timing of deliveries to optimize operational efficiency.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of contemporary sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
Strong understanding of finance and accounting, including budgeting, cost management, and operational risk management.
Keen interest in market dynamics with a strong business sense.
Proficient use of internet resources for product and cost information research.
Exceptional negotiation and networking skills.
Working experience with vendor management software.
Ability to gather and analyze data, working comfortably with figures.
Solid judgment with the capability to make informed decisions.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset balanced with creativity to seek, encourage, and implement effective procurement approaches.
Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
Minimum 5-7 years of recent procurement experience within a multi-site organization.
Proven track record of driving impactful change and implementing sustainable improvements across significant spending categories.
