The Equity Operations Manager position reports directly to the Director of Real Estate Operations. Areas of responsibility include supporting the Equity solutions, processing, and funding team members to manager a centralized equity lending process. This includes leading the solutions process, increasing efficiencies, managing the pipeline, and ultimately creating the best member experience possible. The Equity Manager will be responsible for solutions success, training, coaching, and escalation support for their team and monitoring daily work in support of our department goals.
Responsible and Accountable for:
Assume leadership role in the absence of the Director of Real Estate Operations
Coaching and development of team members, focusing on core competencies
Monitor member experience, to include timely communication and applications
Review applications for compliance with real estate regulations
Maintaining Equity Lending information / policies / procedures updated within internal systems (i.e. “Albert,” etc.) and communicating updates to the appropriate teams.
Ensuring policies / procedures (including all regulations related to equity lending) are adhered to within the department.
Recommendations for rates, products, and services to improve equity experience and to help make and exceed our sales goals
Supervise and support the Equity Solutions Specialists, Equity Processors and Equity Coordinator
Manage Simultaneous closing relationships
Daily pipeline review
Bi-monthly reporting to Retail Leadership on pipeline volume including production and turnaround times
Support document review including researching title issues, reviewing appraisals, and handling escalations
Reviewing and uploading Real Estate invoices
Partnering with Retail team to create an efficient referral process; removing barriers that impact processing and funding efficiencies
Work with Consumer Lending Underwriting Manager to review equity applications, finding way to achieve members’ goals
Collaborate with Mortgage compliance team to resolve compliance and audit issues
Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities:
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to coach and develop team members by providing frequent feedback on all aspects of performance, including confronting performance issues and elevating performance by constructively focusing on improvement. Sets a comfortable tone and encourages open communication.
Knowledge of credit union operations and equity lending.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem identification and resolution skills.
Articulates ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting message to match the audience.
Ability to assess effectiveness of procedures and develop alternative solutions to drive efficiencies and improved members experiences.
Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively and independently within time constraints.
Knowledge of and ability to comply with all state and federal laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, the lending platform and core operating system.
Demonstrates strong work ethic that supports organizational values and demands the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
Willing to travel as needed.
Analytical ability to understand and interpret various reports and data
Understanding of Real Estate regulations, compliance, and products
Ability to read and understand property valuation reports (including appraisals) and title reports
Exceptional judgment in offering service to members, adhering to policy, and other applicable regulations, while protecting the credit union assets by identifying opportunities
Knowledge of and ability to comply with all state and federal regulations.
Educationand Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of demonstrated progression in job-related experience
3-5 years lending experience including understanding credit reports, application process, equity lending experience preferred
