Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. Content Marketing Strategist in Virginia Beach, Virginia

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for overseeing the project life-cycle of content creation as it relates to ADS, Inc.'s business goals. This role requires an individual withanalytical abilities necessary to gather key business and user insights, and apply his or her strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for the content, both digital and print.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Campaign Management

  • Gain and maintain a working knowledge of ADS' target markets, customer personas, product and service offerings, and value proposition to work effectively withmanager and business units to promote ADS(brand awareness)
  • Work with Online Marketing Manager and Sales Reps to deliver content to target audience and effectively garner desired response/action(specific campaigns)
  • Identify the appropriate mix of marketing content across all channels, both offline and digital, to accomplish sales and marketing goals and objectives as needed(strategy for both brand awareness and specific campaigns)
  • Collaborate with Online Marketing Manager to determine content marketing budget
  • Build and maintain the marketing department's content calendar

Content

  • Develop easy-to-use, clear, concise, comprehensible content
  • Craft a corporate content guideline to ensure ADS' voice is consistent
  • Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed to connect with pertinent target audience
  • Develop and manage annual editorial calendar in line with annual budget
  • Write original, authoritative, research-driven, and powerful SEO content for blogs and websites
  • Write effective headlines, body copy, and call-to-action

Social Media

  • Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Vimeo, YouTube)
  • Implement best practices and trends in social marketing and audience engagement
  • Report on successes and devise plans for improvements
  • Set up/manage ad campaigns/audiencestoincrease site traffic
  • Post engaging content
  • Answer follower/customer questions
  • Monitor and respond to visitor posts/comments/reviews
  • Promote trade shows before, during, and after event
  • Collaborate with sales team to obtain trade show images/content when unable to attend event

Influencer Outreach

  • Create influencer network of freelance writers and industry subject matter experts
  • Manage outsourcing and distribution of earned vs. paid content marketing while adhering to budget
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with website managers/owners to obtain quality links

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Art Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style and/or AP Style
  • 3-5 years of experience in copywriting
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, and Salesforce CRM
  • Project management experiencewill help the content strategist keep projects on track and within budget
  • A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are preferred
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Leads and initiates change effectively and is flexible and collaborative in all cross-functional responsibilities
  • Excellent communication ability using strong listening skills and a logical, systematic approach to assimilating and sharing information
  • Assertive and proactive problem solving
