COMAR LLC Set Up Mechanic I in Vineland & Buena, New Jersey

Immediate openings for: Set-up Mechanic ( 1 opening for day 7am-7pm and 2 openings for night 7pm-7am $2 shift differential)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as assigned).

  • Setup and Operate the Extrusion Blow Molding machinery, tooling and equipment
  • Troubleshoot the machine, process and any quality issues
  • Maintain part quality expectations and production rates
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP Standards
  • Follows organizational and departmental practices and SOP's to ensure safe operations of equipment, personal safety and compliance with customer quality standards
  • Record all machine and quality issues in the IQ log and sample parts visually as well as dimensionally
  • Enter Work Orders for any repairs or preventive maintenance in a timely manner
  • Able to follow work instructions and maintain the ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment
  • Understand all systems which support the work cell
  • Assist production personnel as needed
  • Perform verifications checks on logs on all paperwork in a timely manner and insure documentation is completed before the end of their shift

Proficient in reading and writing in English, proficient in mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplication), ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals and blueprints, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, ability to use measuring devices such as: Calipers, Dial indicator, Feeler gauges, Optical Comparator

EXPERIENCE: Experience with plastic molding preferred, minimum 3-years mechanical experience, Mechanical and analytical background preferred

EDUCATION (Level of education typically found in candidates having the required knowledge - skills - abilities to perform this job. Indicate the specific academic discipline(s) or field(s) of study as applicable to this job), High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
