Position Summary

As an EHS Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Vilnius, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate and coordinate projects that require a deep understanding of chemical regulations and cross-divisional scope. Your expertise will be invaluable in conducting hazard assessments, chemical notifications and registrations, and communicating relevant regulations to applicable teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and managing in-house tools and software systems related to chemical regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support key strategic imperatives by contributing to various projects.

  • Provide regulatory support to internal and external customers, working closely with R&D teams to find innovative solutions for reducing product and process hazards.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, objectives, plans, and procedures for chemical compliance programs.

  • Participate in workflows that facilitate shipment clearance and new product approvals.

  • Engage in the external customer communication process to ensure compliance with chemical regulations.

  • Develop, refine, and deliver training on regulatory topics, including corporate standards for meeting the company's Chemical Compliance obligations.

  • Maintain the Team extranet site and support Team partner communication programs.

  • Ensure article compliance through engagement with third-party service providers and procurement.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Law, or related subject;

  • Proven experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, compliance, chemical consultancy, or risk assessment - minimum 3 years;

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in EU REACH compliance, including ECHA activity tracking and substance volume tracking. Proficiency in using IUCLID/REACH IT;

  • Knowledge of UK REACH implementation, including DUIN submissions and adherence to UK REACH guidelines;

  • Experience in multiple aspects of product stewardship, including risk assessment, hazard classification, labeling, and other related topics;

  • Ability to read, interpret, and operationalize chemical regulations;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities;

  • Foster connections with individuals at all levels within the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, remaining calm, professional, and positive in all situations;

  • Thrive in a fast-paced team environment with moderate supervision;

  • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple activities concurrently.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €23 800,00–€35 650,00.
