What You’ll Get to Do:
In support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and under the direction from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), your primary focus will be to assist with establishing and maintaining a process to manage the project, including managing tasks and resources, tracking and reporting project progress, and any other project-related activities .
This position is located on-site, in Tysons Corner, VA.
More About the Role:
As the Events Coordinator, you will:
Develop and maintain presentation materials for internal and external use
Work to identify presenters as needed for specific events
Curate the presentation library and perform regular updates and reviews of library materials to ensure information is up to date
Hold preparatory meetings with event participants and dry runs of presentation material as deemed necessary
Hold post-event briefings to glean any takeaways or feedback from each event if needed
Support SEVP conference and event attendance through such responsibilities as:
Coordinate and track event attendance through the use of Microsoft Dynamics products
Facilitate SEVP’s participation in events and webinars with key stakeholders
Coordinate with the Training Team to enhance and develop training presentations for external stakeholders
Virtual participation (via webinar), both SEVP-hosted and externally hosted
Facilitate all technical aspects of webinar function
Coordinate with all stakeholder groups to define presentation parameters, attendance logistics, and other details as necessary for travel packages
Manage SEVP’s outreach and event data through Microsoft Dynamics applications
Develop a process and coordinate strategic outreach to internal and external stakeholder groups
Work closely with employees across SEVP to complete projects
Ensure solutions meet organizational needs and requirements
Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
Manage competing resources and priorities.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
Five (5) year’s experience relevant experience in business processes and management
Must be able to obtain NACI (Public Trust) clearance / background investigation
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis
Ability to educate and inform senior management on various communication planning alternatives
Ability to balance multiple complex initiatives
Ability to incorporate management systems and processes into a team in order to execute planned goals
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
DHS Secret Clearance
Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Drupal, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and/or Adobe Connect

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$71,500 - $150,200
