DAI is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our busy Business Development department within European Unit. This will be a full-time permanent role based either in our office in Apsley (United Kingdom), Sofia (Bulgaria), Belgrade (Serbia), Barcelona (Spain), Vienna (Austria), Brussels (Belgium) or Ankara (Turkiye). The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the recruitment process for the identification of candidates for technical assistance contracts in English and French-speaking countries.

Key tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

  • Identify potential key and non-key experts, sources of local staff and other members for new business pursuits as early as possible, taking a proactive approach.

  • Lead full cycle recruitment for proposals including sourcing of candidates, interviewing, assessing, negotiating and re-writing of CVs ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

  • Follow standard internal procedures to screen and select the best candidates, ensuring compliance with all client selection, recruitment, and employment specifications.

  • Ensure recruiting standards are maintained and business needs are met.

  • Provide written inputs to proposals on staffing as required.

  • Develop long-term relationships with candidates, ensuring their loyalty to DAI.

  • Work with Heads of Units and Business Development Managers to ensure that experts are appropriately contracted.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social sciences (preferably in Recruitment, HR, International Development) or equivalent working experience.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, recruiting candidates for international development projects/programmes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong eye for detail.

  • An excellent command of the use of social media and other online platforms as sourcing tools such as LinkedIn.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working with colleagues in multiple locations.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Fluent in both verbal and written English and French.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in implementation and/or recruiting candidates for EU funded projects/programmes.
