We are currently looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer (m/ f /d) in Vienna and/or Graz . As a Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) in the department Coach Control and Diagnostics, you define test specifications and ensure that the specified software requirements are covered by the tests. The trains are manufactured in Vienna and other Siemens locations, and they transport people across Europe in day and night trains such as the Railjet for Austrian and Czech railway operators.

In this role, you can actively design the future of sustainable high-speed cross-border train service in Europe. We transform the everyday!

Tasks

• Based on the specifications you derive the test cases and develop automated test routines, in particular you define how the automated/manual tests are to be carried out.

• You perform the tests in your own responsibility either in the laboratory test benches or the vehicles.

• You prepare the test reports as input for the software homologation.

• You will collaborate to develop test bench by defining Software simulations for vehicle components not implemented in the laboratory (hardware in the loop)

Skills

• The basis of your success is a completed bachelor's or master degree in a technical field (e.g. electrical engineering, computer science or mechatronics).

• In addition, you convince with 3-5 years of experience in test automation or test area.

• Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the field of railway/vehicle technology,

• You have experience in working with test management tools and software environments, e.g. LabView.

• You are willing to do occasional business trips (approx. 10%) domestic and abroad to participate in our vehicle tests.

• You have a very good command of the English language and your German language skills are on level B2 or better in order to communicate confidently.

What else do I need to know?

We offer an attractive remuneration package in line with your qualifications and professional experience. The legally required minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement for this position is at least EUR 62.627 based on 38.5 working hours per week. Depending on your education, experience and overtime, a higher salary can be agreed. As a large corporation, Siemens also offers additional social benefits.
