Scientist I, Research & Development (m/w/d)
Location: Vienna
Your Responsibilities:
Practical project development towards commercial research products
Development and validation of immunological detection methods, for the analysis of biological samples
Independent planning and execution of experiments including data analysis and interpretation of results
Laboratory maintenance, like instrument calibration and buffer preparation
Performance of testing and assays in accordance with approved methods and SOPs
Assistance in troubleshooting, investigations and other duties as required
Your Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
Hands-on experience with immunoassays (ELISA, bead-based multiplex assays, PLA or similar)
Good understanding of immunology, cell biology and protein analysis techniques
Problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems
Curiosity about improving skills and knowledge in the development of innovative commercial research products
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possesses analytical thinking skills that are applied to solving a sophisticated scientific problem
Works well in a team environment and collaborates with other members of the team to find a solution
Proficiency in German and English
