For the support of our team in Austria, we are looking for a Human Resources Manager (f/m/d) located at our site in Vienna.

How will you make an impact:

As the HR Partner, you will provide comprehensive HR support to our Thermo Fisher Scientific businesses in Austria. Your role is crucial in facilitating improved business performance and employee engagement. You will be accountable for implementing site HR strategies that support the delivery of our strategic objectives. This includes continuing to develop a culture based on our 4i values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement. Your responsibilities will involve attracting, retaining, and developing talent, delivering day-to-day HR services to site managers and employees, and ensuring alignment with broader HR and business goals.

What you will supply:

Talent Advocate

  • Support talent attraction and management, including evaluation, assessment, and development.

  • Foster a positive culture built upon our 4i values.

Leadership Development

  • Deliver mentorship and coaching to people managers regarding HR policies and employee training needs.

  • Support colleagues in navigating employee relations matters, including performance management and investigations.

Organizational Adaptability and Resolve

  • Build partnerships with site, HR, and business leaders to guide site activities, shape culture, and drive employee engagement.

HR Analytics and Data Driven Insights

  • Use data and people metrics dashboards to drive continuous improvement of talent and business capabilities.

  • Influence change in the broader HR team.

Project/Process Management

  • Lead HR and process improvement projects.

  • Support annual HR processes and coordinate effective compensation equity and planning.

Works Council Engagement

  • Engage with the site works councils and own the work council collaboration and consultation for HR related topics.

How you will get there:

  • University degree within HR related subjects

  • Confirmed experience in Human Resources delivering within a matrix organization and a performance management culture

  • Experience of working within an HR Ulrich Model Structure

  • Proven track record to establish and maintain strong connections with individuals at various levels, including those working remotely.

  • Validated ability to serve as a successful member of a business management team that provides company leadership and direction, preferably in an international environment

  • Must have the ability to challenge and influence managers and leaders

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Austrian employment law, works council I&C process and collaboration, compensation, organization planning and development, training & development

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and coaching skills

  • High level of organizational change skills

  • Good communicator, well structured, dedicated, can do demeanor and positive

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Ability to travel regularly to the sites in Vienna, occasionally to our Linz site, and in exceptional cases abroad

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. For this position we provide a minimum salary of 71,000 € per year. Overpayment is possible based on your previous experience and qualifications.
