Our client, in steel manufacturing is seeking a Melt Shop Maintenance Manager to join their team. As a Melt Shop Mainteance Manager, you will be part of the Maintenance supporting Engineering & Production. The ideal candidate will have leadership, mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment knowledge which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $130,000 - $145,000

About the Role:

The Melt Shop Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance for our melting and casting equipment. This includes developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, leading a team of maintenance technicians, and managing a substantial budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in heavy industrial equipment, along with proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including hiring, training, performance management, and safety.

• Manage a $10 million maintenance budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control.

• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement equipment improvements and process optimizations.

• Drive a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Manage inventory of replacement parts and equipment to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.

• Oversee maintenance activities for the baghouse area and electrical substation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance, specifically in electric furnace melting and continuous casting operations.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
