Trane Technologies Machine Operator III - 2nd shift in Vidalia, Georgia

Job Summary :

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of complex machines in the production process to create a part at the Vidalia, GA location.

Responsibilities :

  1. Creates parts based on blueprints or models that have variability or multiple stages of requirements.

  2. Clean machine and perform maintenance or recalibration or simple programming

  3. Can Operate multiple machines simultaneously

  4. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of machines

  5. Corrects machine malfunctions

  6. Responsible in quality of produced units.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Mathematical acumen

· Technical degree or certification in an applicable field.

· Must have a minimum of 5-9 years of Machine Operator experience

· Must maintain multiple machine operator certifications

· Must be knowledgeable in operating a hydraulic press

· Can set-up more complex machinery that has multiple tolerances and do calculations based off blueprints and diagrams, can read blueprints and do calculations related to programming machinery, can operate 2 machines simultaneously.

· Experience in several machine operator positions in a production environment

· Can use precision tools.

· The Job will require a successful completion of a training program to include:

o Safety Equipment and Guarding

o Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures

o Startup and Routine Operation

o Part Changeovers

o Die Changes – internal and external

o Crane Operation, Inspection, etc

o Daily Pres Maintenance

o Basic Troubleshooting Techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

· Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist

· Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day

· Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day

· Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day

· Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions

· Moderate physical exertion

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
