Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Medical Transcriptionist in the Medical Devices industry, located in VICTOR, New York. The role involves the meticulous transcribing of medical data and requires adeptness in data entry and medical typing.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately transcribing medical data from various sources.

• Efficiently entering and verifying numeric and alpha data into different types of documents, including spreadsheets and letters.

• Maintaining the quality of work by regularly tracking and reviewing the data entered.

• Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and other related tasks.

• Demonstrating proficiency in typing with a speed of over 60 WPM for efficient data entry.

• Handling customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records.

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.

• Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all medical data.

• Continually updating skills and knowledge to ensure accuracy in transcribing medical data. Requirements • Proficiency in Data Entry

• Strong skills in Medical Typing

• Experience in Transcribing medical records

• Ability to type over 60 words per minute

• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Basic knowledge of healthcare privacy and confidentiality laws

• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail

• Good command of English language, both written and spoken

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Transcription is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
