Maintenance Engineer

JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Worker is responsible for general maintenance of company properties' buildings, grounds, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintains grounds and parking lots, performing garbage pick-up, minor routine parking lot repairs, landscaping, weeding, and other related maintenance activities. Maintains building by performing minor and routine painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, tile repair, and other related maintenance activities. Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment, including small engines and electrical motors. Notifies the supervisor of the need for significant lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment repairs. Maintains motor vehicles (trucks, tractors, salters, and plows). Repairs and maintains all doors and entryway hardware. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and parking lots. Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers. Replaces lightbulbs. Operates power tools and equipment.

OTHER DUTIES Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. Trade school certification and mechanical repair courses or equivalent experience, a plus. Experience in one or more relevant fields, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, etc., a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

The work environment is indoors and outdoors, frequently exposed to all types of weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work overtime as needed, weekends and holidays. Two Full-Time positions available. 1 - Days and hours are Sunday through Thursday 7 AM to 3:30 PM 2 - Days and hours are Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
