LSI Solutions Inventory Control Specialist - Days 8am to 5pm in Victor, New York

JOB TITLE: Inventory Control Specialist - Days 8am to 5pm

SALARY RANGE: $58,500 - $70,000

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Specialist ensures transaction and stock accuracy. Responsible for the accuracy, analysis, and reconciliation of all production inventory, work orders, and finished goods inventory.

LEVEL I ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Close WO’s in EIQ and file hard copy WO/Traveler.

• Perform the physical daily cycle counts.

• Verify pallet label quantity matches EIQ quantity.

• Support Operations by moving WP items as needed.

LEVEL II ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• All essential functions listed above.

• WO reconciliation of its returned and/or still allocated associated parts.

• Initiate daily EIQ Cycle Counts and reconcile discrepancies.

• Perform location-based cycle counts per plan set by ERP Business Manager or designee.

• Production reporting reconciliation.

• Production reporting error corrections including the required backflushing through all required levels to ensure EIQ part, lot, and quantity traceability.

• Support the training of work instructions and operating procedures as related to inventory transactions.

• Support operations in correcting all Work Order related inventory and production reporting errors.

• Process sterilization purchase orders.

• Investigate and correct all negative on hand quantities in EIQ.

SENIOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• All essential functions listed above.

• Support all required all Level I and Level II essential functions as required and train other specialists in their roles.

• Monitor and ensure all Inventory in EIQ is properly coded for Cycle Counts.

• Create and monitor location based cycle counts.

• Analyze all cycle count results and implement improvements.

• Analyze negative on hand quantities and implement improvements to reduce frequency.

• Monitor and adjust daily cycle counts to keep workload consistent each day.

• Monitor open WO’s and work with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to close.

• Document and continuously improve the inventory process related to the production process flow, production reporting, and error correction processes. Track and Pareto the types of errors, determine root cause of the errors, and institute improvements to reduce errors.

• Support ERP Business Manager with learning, validating, and the training of new ERP functionality related to inventory, inventory management, or production reporting.

• Help in the development of any new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or metrics as required.

ADDITIONAL RESONSIBILITIES:

• Work on special projects assigned.

• Performs duties with limited supervision following established procedures and deadlines.

• Updating or creating work instructions as needed.

• Check Revision on products to make sure accurate and match approved drawing.

• Update Bills of Manufacturing as needed.

• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree in Business preferred.

• 2-3 years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center setting required.

SENIOR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree in Business preferred.

• 5+ years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center setting required.

• 2+ years’ experience related to inventory, production reporting and cycle counting with EIQ required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Good written and verbal communication skills required.

• Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and inventory flow.

• Strong materials, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel functions to perform analysis required.

• Ability to work independently but also in a team environment.
