LSI Solutions CNC Machine Operator II Overnights (10pm-6:30am) in Victor, New York

POSITION TITLE: CNC Machine Operator II Overnights

LOCATION: Onsite at LSI Solutions in Victor, NY

HOURLY PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $28.00hr

Overnight Shift Differential an additional $3.00 per hour

SIGNING BONUS: $3,000 (minus applicable taxes) after a successful 90 day review

RELOCATION BONUS: depending on distance (minus applicable taxes) for relocations to the Rochester, NY region

SHIFT HOURS: 10pm-6:30am

JOB SUMMARY: The CNC Machine Operator will maintain production, operate machinery, and keep equipment in good working condition as assigned by a Fabrication Lead and/or Toolmakers. This position is responsible for performing quality checks as instructed and record data as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Level I

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow standard safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.

  • Operate CNC machines to build production work order (load, unload, cleaning, and inspection parts).

  • Conduct in-process inspection of components to ensure conformity to quality requirements using precision measuring instruments and a ble to read and understand part drawings and basic GD&T.

  • Identify issues that may require adjustment of machine settings.

  • Perform accurate and timely job tasking, line clearance, and production reporting of work orders.

  • Operate part washer.

    Level II

  • Monitor and update shop floor visual board.

  • Perform startup on CNC machines.

  • Support Level I Operator.

  • Rapidly recognize non-standard equipment/process performance.

  • Run multiple production part numbers on CNC machine with no supervision.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Level I

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 0-1 years’ minimum proven experience as a Machine Operator working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required.

    Level II

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-3 years’ minimum experience working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Level I

  • Basic shop math skills.

  • Knowledge of end mills, drills, reamers, and assessment of tool condition.

  • Capable of using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.).

  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria.

  • Record SPC data with basic understanding of SPC.

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Teamwork and communication skills.

    Level II

  • Able to understand and Interpret SPC data and make recommendations.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
