Job Title: Plant Controller

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Controller to join our dynamic team. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing all financial aspects of our manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop, analyze, and communicate financial forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics for the plant. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to enhance profitability.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain variances between budgeted and actual performance. Collaborate with operational teams to address issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Implement best practices for inventory valuation and reconciliation.

  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Conduct periodic audits to assess control effectiveness.

  • Capital Expenditure Management: Evaluate capital investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision-making. Monitor capital spending and track project performance against targets.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to support business initiatives, such as pricing strategies, product launches, and capacity expansion. Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess potential risks and opportunities.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to drive alignment on key initiatives and strategic objectives. Communicate financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving results in a team environment.
