Avangrid Service Company Supervisor - Transmission System Ops in Vestal, New York

Position Information:

Title: SUPERVISOR - TRANSMISSION SYSTEM OPS

Location: Binghamton (Vestal), NY

Pay Range: $101,000 - $126,000

Schedule: Office

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant
experience or High School Diploma/GED required with 10 years relevant
experience and the completion of the relevant progression program.
• Supervisory and leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of MMS and departmental PC programs.
• Thorough knowledge of Company policies related to transmission
service.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong planning, coordinating and organizational skills.
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver work
on time.
• Able to analyze data and draw sound conclusions.
• Strong customer focus.
• Able to work with internal customers.

JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting
relationships, other relationships:

Supervises and implements programs for construction, operations and
maintenance of the company's transmission system for which T&D Support
is responsible. Provides guidance, training and field support to
Substations and Distribution Operations in technical transmission areas.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops and monitors transmission work methods and provide guidance
in field training for all line workers and supervisors in project
planning, safety rigging, switching and hotline tool work.(25%,P)
2. Monitors the supply of construction and maintenance materials, which
are stocked in various locations for use on the transmission system.
(20%,P)
3. Schedules the transmission line helicopter patrol.(5%,S)
4. Coordinates the use and scheduling of specialized transmission
equipment, labor resources and labor resources on a daily basis.(20%,P)
5. Reviews job assignments to determine effective operations and
utilization of manpower.(25%,P)
6. Evaluates ongoing programs, services and systems, and makes
recommended refinements and/or enhancements as necessary.(5%,S)

Our Selection Process:
