Title: Facilities Compliance Specialist (Compliance Specialist III)Salary Range: $48,168.00 - $60,204.00Contract Term Length: 12 MonthsStandard Hours: 37.5Work Location: HybridFLSA Status: ExemptCollege: KCTCS System OfficeCampus Location: System OfficeDepartment: Facilities ManagementTotal RewardsKCTCS System Office offers a competitive benefits package and an attractive work environment that supports excellence, innovation, and creativity including:Exceptional health care, vision, and dental coverage for you and your familyTuition reimbursement/waiver for you, your spouse, and dependents403(b) retirement plan: a 5% employee contribution receives a 10% employer matchVacation/Sick TimeWork-Life Balance9.5 Paid Holidays2 Weeks of Institutional Closing Pay (Last 2 weeks of December) for qualifying positionsEmployee Assistance ProgramJob SummaryThe Facilities Compliance Specialist (Compliance Specialist III) position manages the KCTCS Fire Alarm System Maintenance Contracts and monitors vendor performance on these contracts; Manages the correction of deficiencies in the Fire Suppression Systems identified by various inspections and reports correction to the Department of State Risk; Documents established KCTCS guidelines, reviews conditions at College campuses and facilities for compliance with these ADA Guidelines and Federal Regulations and provides training to system office and college staff on these matters; Reviews College facilities for ad hoc modifications which may have occurred without KCTCS FSS approval, specifically for compliance with Kentucky Building Codes, and mitigates the violations; Provides professional advice and guidance to College staff on special issues related to facilities and grounds; Coordinates the UL Certifications of equipment to be installed at colleges that are not UL certified at time of purchase; and Provides technical training to college facilities and maintenance staff on compliance issues related to facilities and grounds.This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year and located in Versailles, KY.KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.Job Duties:Investigates special issues related to facilities and grounds, resolves compliance issues, and implements corrective actions to mitigate the issue when necessary.Reviews conditions at College campuses and facilities for compliance with ADA Guidelines and Regulations. Documents established KCTCS ADA Guidelines.Reviews College facilities for ad hoc modifications which may have occurred without KCTCS FSS approval, specifically for compliance with Kentucky Building Codes. Mitigates the issue to resolve the compliance issue.Provides technical training and professional expertise to college facilities and maintenance staff on compliance issues related to facilities and grounds.Assists the KCTCS FSS Assistant Vice President in special assignments to investigate, analyze, and report on existing building or grounds conditions when an identified need to perform this investigation and analysis is necessary related to studies related to Space Utilization, Facility Life Cycle, or other similar determinations.Manages the KCTCS Fire Alarm System Maintenance Contracts. Monitors maintenance services by vendors. When necessary for re-bidding modifies the maintenance contracts as required.Manages the correction of deficiencies in the Fire Suppression Systems identified by various inspections.Minimum Qualifications:One (1) year certificate or training from college or technical school and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Related / Building Codes and eight (8) years of relevant experience or equivalent.Additional Skills Requested:Ability to apply building related codes and regulations to actual conditions to analyze compliance and to develop corrective or mitigation activities necessary
