National Winter Activity Center Winter4Kids Kitchen Prep and Service in Vernon Township, New Jersey
Position Purpose: To assist in the daily operations of the kitchen while preparing quality, healthy meals for participants while keeping a clean workspace following proper health standards.Qualifications:Must be 16 years of age or olderAbility to work varied shift hours, including nights and weekendsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Familiar with basic kitchen safetyMust be punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructionsBe able to work as part of a team Responsibilities:Properly follow recipes for healthy mealsRefill salad and fruit stations, soups, and chili crocksProcess fruit and vegetables for salads and recipesServe portion-controlled mealsKeep a clean workspace following proper health standardsInteract with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous mannerOperate kitchen equipment including flat top, grills, ovens, and meat slicer safely and efficientlyWork Environment & Physical Demands:Frequent standing for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift and move objects of up to 25 lbs. as required Some physical requirements of this position include standing, running, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and demonstrate sports activities. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/program. Willingness to work in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering program in the facility available.
