RHETT'S TRUCKING, LLC Tire and Lube Tech in VERNAL, Utah
Four (4) Tire and Lube Techs needed for Rhett's Trucking. Two (2) openings are located in Vernal and two (2) in Roosevelt, Utah.
Wage is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
OBJECTIVE: Tire and Lube Tech perform a wide variety of tasks to maintain company vehicles and equipment by making necessary repairs and adjustments, complying with regularly scheduled maintenance programs, and maintaining accurate records of the same. This position is designated as an extremely sensitive position due to specific work and environmental factors requiring extreme caution.
The ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS for this position include: 1. Repairs and maintains all company vehicles and equipment using automotive mechanic tools, heavy machinery, and shop/fleet equipment on a daily basis. 2. Lubricates vehicles and equipment, along with changing oil in accordance with prescribed schedules. 3. Performs changing of tires, brake adjustments, and general maintenance of equipment. 4. Recommends requisitions of adequate parts and materials needed for normal vehicle maintenance and repairs and keeps accurate records of the same. 5. Continuously maintains a clean and safe shop working area including benches, floors, and surrounding areas. 6. Prepares reports on all maintenance and mechanical work and materials used. 7. Specifies and requests new tools and shop equipment needed for inclusion in the annual budget. Maintains all shop tools and equipment in good, safe working order. 8. Performs all other duties as required in a safe and efficient manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: A high school education (or equivalent). Experience should include working with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and brake maintenance certification.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS PHYSICAL: Work is often performed in awkward or uncomfortable positions involving stooping, bending, reaching, and the handling of tools or materials of sufficient weight (up to 80 pounds) to cause additional physical stress.
Normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, with some weekends as necessary. Position is Full-Time with benefits starting after 30 days of employment. Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes.
