UELS, LLC Permitting Technician in Vernal, Utah

UELS is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in the energy industry. As a Permitting Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients in obtaining the necessary permits from local, state, and federal agencies for energy-related projects. Your expertise in navigating regulatory processes, your strong communication skills, and your ability to manage complex documentation will contribute to the successful execution of projects that drive our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Level I Job Duties:

  • Assists with clients to gather project-specific information and requirements for permit applications.

  • Researches and identifies the regulatory requirements and permitting processes applicable to each project at local, state, and federal levels.

  • Prepares and assembles comprehensive permit applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Monitors the progress of permit applications, tracks milestones, and proactively addresses any issues that may arise during the permitting process.

  • Participates in meetings with clients, project managers, and regulatory officials to review and discusses permit applications and any necessary revisions.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of evolving regulatory guidelines and policies that could impact permitting processes.

  • Assists in the maintenance of internal databases, tracking systems, and documentation related to permitting activities.

  • Prepares regular reports on permitting status, including updates on pending applications, approvals, and any potential delays.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

    Level I Education & Knowledge:

    Education: Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Engineering, Public Administration, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge: General understanding of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes at local, state, and federal levels, preferably within the energy sector. Proficiency in using software tools for document preparation, data management, and communication (MS Office Suite, project management software, etc.).

    Level II Job Duties (in addition to the above) :

  • Collaborates with clients to gather project-specific information and requirements for permit applications.

  • Acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies, acting as a point of contact for permit application submissions, inquiries, and updates.

  • Coordinates and facilitates meetings with clients, project managers, and regulatory officials to review and discusses permit applications and any necessary revisions.

    Level II Education & Knowledge:

    Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Engineering, Public Administration, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes at local, state, and federal levels, preferably within the energy sector. Proficiency in using software tools for document preparation, data management, and communication (MS Office Suite, AFMSS, RBDMS, project management software, etc.).

    Starting wage depends on related education & experience

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift (M-F)
