Pitt Roofing INC Mechanic's Assistant in VERNAL, Utah
As a mechanic's helper, you will assist the mechanic with repairs and maintenance on both gas and small diesel engines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance, including but not limited to
- Change oil
- Check and refill fluid levels
- Check and replace worn-out or bad brake pads and rotors
- Repair or replace engine components
- Replace hoses and belts that are damaged or worn out
- Utilize hand tools and a variety of power tools
- Organize and clean tools, machinery, and materials
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures
- Ensure the mechanic's area is completely cleaned up at the end of each shift
- Rotation of after hours on call
Requirements:
- Knowledge of auto mechanics -- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience is required
- Able to lift 50 pounds and other various physical labor activities
- Follow OSHA regulations
- Possess good communication skills
- Attention to detail-oriented
- Time management skills to perform repairs in a timely fashion
- Looking for a hard-working, honest, and reliable mechanic's assistant who will work well in a team
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must be 18 years of age or over to apply for the job
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable daily transportation to and from work
