Job Description Summary

The successful candidate will be the technical owner of all COMPOSITE and PAINT repair processes, working closely with operations team, and Product & NPI engineering, ensuring EHS, quality and process stability is maintained in those areas.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as Special Process Owner or delegated Special Process Owner (if current qualification does not meet necessary qualification defined by aeDMS 259.08 and local Quality procedures)

  • Improve existing repair process at Composite & PAINT areas along with it’s continuous monitoring:

  • Rework, Process First Time Yield, Delivery and Cost metrics for exceptions and trends, define and implement corrective and improvement actions, use data for prioritization

  • Develop new technologies on composite repairs to replace conventional means.

  • Explore limits based on OEM ESM requirements and provide guidance to inspectors on the shop floor to reduce scrap and repair need;

  • Provide formal & informal COMPOSITE/PAINTING process related training to inspectors, operators and engineers;

  • Exploring, defining and taking their own lead on implementation of New Technologies supporting continues process improvement and current business needs.

  • Provide process expert support in New Product Implementation projects challenging on existing capabilities.

  • Being part of a local manufacturing and a global engineering team, engaging relevant stakeholders, managing by exceptions and escalating in case if necessary.

  • Taking active part in production meetings and taking the lead on solving technical issues on their own initiative.

  • Developing and implementing all the technical enablers/projects targeting changes/Improvements (EHS/Quality/effective repair process), including industrialization efforts of the new repair solution

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Necessary:

  • engineering/ technical degree (minimum BACHELOR’s level) at area of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science,

  • relevant experience in an engineering/technologist position, experience with experience working with COMPOSITE materials (curing, bonding, gluing, mixing adhesives, blending, cleaning, painting, autoclave etc.)

  • theoretical and practical knowledge of PAITING process

  • strong oral and written communication skills ENGLISH and HUNGARIAN,

Nice to have:

  • has direct experience working with COMPOSITE materials and understands a wide range of COMPOSITE manufacturing processes.

  • has experience in the qualification and approval of materials

  • has had exposure to material testing, characterization, and analysis of material data

  • has had exposure to the COMPOSITE component supply chain across two or more market segments (example renewables and marine) in a technical/commercial role will be an advantage.

  • has had deep knowledge of PAINTING process including strong practical background
