Position Overview:
Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital by performing the following duties; effectively plan and communicate patient and family education. Participates in unit based educational activities. Accurate and timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and comprehension.
Required:
Current CA RN License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
One (1) or more years previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
Certification for Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
