Wolverine Human Services is seeking dedicated Youth Care Specialists to support juvenile and foster care youth who have experienced trauma and often exhibit high levels of verbal and physical aggression. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and nurturing environment for these young individuals. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining constant supervision of the youth to ensure their safety and well-being while also documenting daily activities, behaviors, and any incidents as required.

As a Youth Care Specialist, you will implement individualized behavior management plans and employ crisis intervention techniques when necessary to help de-escalate challenging situations. Building trusting relationships with the youth is essential, as this fosters a sense of security and encourages positive interactions. You will engage the youth in both structured and unstructured activities that promote social skills and emotional regulation, all while collaborating with your team to develop effective strategies tailored to each youth's unique needs.

Candidates should have experience working with at-risk populations, strong communication skills, and a calm demeanor, especially in stressful situations.
