- Job #8005 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This System Administrator position will manage and maintain various systems, including server administration, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and virtualization infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preparing for system growth, implementing access control models, and supporting both Windows and Linux environments. The role also involves researching vulnerabilities, documenting procedures, and providing help desk support. Additionally, the position requires collaborating with teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to process improvements for system administration. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $44.47 - $63.54 Benefits:

- With Manager technical lead oversight, to perform professional-level system administration of the systems listed below including,
- Configure applicable software and systems, maintain local documentation, install, update, and remove software, applying change control processes and procedures.
- Plan and prepare for future growth, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and perform system-related training for the following systems:
- Server administration.
- Vulnerability Scanning, including Nessus.
- Cyber Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) and Mitigation Research.
- Implement, design, and maintain least privilege and role-based access control models.
- Patch Management of network and compute devices.
- Server Virtualization, i.e. Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere
- Network Virtualization, i.e. VMWare NSX, Cisco ACI.
- Antivirus, antimalware, and malicious code prevention.
- Storage services, i.e. Nexgen, Pure, vSAN, other network-attached storage arrays.
- Display infrastructure.
- Laptop and workstation support.
- Software deployment services.
- Virtualization infrastructure.
- Windows & Linux operating systems.
- Windows infrastructure, i.e. active directory, group policy, PKI, et al.
- Support of in-house developed applications.
- Network time distribution.
- Windows file services.
- Linux infrastructure (deployment services, CentOS).
- Provide the following support:
- Research, test, and draft / document standardized technical procedures for the deployment of server and workstation computer hardware and associated operating systems; organize, store, and dispose of superseded documents in accordance with Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards.
- Perform regular assessments of newly discovered vulnerabilities on a wide range of operational network devices, computer systems devices, and various software packages. Document patch and vulnerability applicability assessments and recommend vulnerability mitigation options. Report any concerns to the manager.
- Implement, design, and maintain least privilege and role-based access control models.
- Research, test, and document standardized technical procedures for the deployment of server, workstation computer hardware, and associated operating systems for final review and approval by manager/staff.
