HP Inc. Senior People Business Partner for Print Category and Print People Organization Business Planner in Vancouver, Washington

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource professional to join the Print People Organization supporting one of our most exciting organizations. Your engagement will be with global teams in the Print Category organization.

As the People Partner, you will be responsible for applying mastery of subject matter expertise and knowledge to manage staff activities, providing strategic guidance on People programs and processes, and acting as a key advisor to senior leaders. You ensure the successful implementation of People initiatives that align with the organization's long-term goals and business strategy. As the Business Planner you will get visibility into the larger Print Organization and work closely with the VP of People for Print to translate the people strategy into priorities and supporting initiatives. You will partner closely with Print People Partners to program manage key people initiatives that ultimately enable Print business success.

Responsibilities for Print Category:

  • Represents the full spectrum of HR functions, programs, and processes within a global business or function. Establishes and maintains relationships with top management (typically L2 or L3) in order to drive the execution of People programs.

  • Responsible for designing an organization that effectively implements programs and processes that impact people

  • Develops the change management strategy within the business to support the implementation of People programs and initiatives.

  • Leads the People programs and processes within the business or function. Assesses People implications of the business strategy, identifies opportunities to further meet business needs, and designs solutions.

  • Represents the business or functional organization to the rest of the People community. Collaborates on design of enterprise-wide programs and initiatives by providing an organization-specific perspective.

  • Evaluates proposed People programs to determine organization-wide viability. Will act as the senior adviser inside the organization during the implementation phase.

  • Collaborates with senior colleagues in the centers of expertise in order to apply sufficient resources to meet the business needs.

  • Coaches senior leadership within the business or function on issues that impact People.

Responsibilities for People Organization Print Business Planner:

  • Partner with the VP of People for Print to articulate the People strategy, translate the strategy into priorities, goals, and key initiatives

  • Build strong, strategic partnership with the Print People Leadership team and partners

  • Operationalize and program manage key initiatives, track progress, signal performance gaps, work with the team to resolve issues and define mitigation plans that enable the delivery of the Print People Strategy.

  • Drive operational cadence: staff meetings and reviews (Quarterly or Half yearly)

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically 10+ years of experience in a diverse range of People functions desired.

  • Demonstrated experience driving organizational change initiatives, developing workforce plans, and influencing business managers.

  • Experience partnering with managers to deliver People solutions is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Intimate business knowledge; Understands financials and business model dynamics.

  • Excellent program management and process development skills.

  • Excellent relationship management skills.

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including competency in financial analysis.

  • Strong leadership and influence skills.

Big Plus Experiences:

  • Prior experience in a heavily matrixed organization.

  • Experience driving and influencing change at strategic, executive level.

  • History of setting people strategy for a global business unit/division.

  • Track record of affecting change in a business environment.

  • Work with Global teams preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $115,850 to $178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.​
