Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a contract Safety Coordinator to join the team of an organization in the clean energy industry. This position is fully onsite and will have two locations to report to: Vancouver and Portland.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Act as an on-site escort, overseeing work activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project timelines

• Monitor work processes, ask relevant questions, and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe working environment

• Escalate safety issues to the Safety Manager and Project Managers as required, providing detailed reports

• Conduct daily debriefs to update stakeholders on project timelines and any incidents that occurred during the day

• Serve as a coordinator between vendors/contractors and project managers to facilitate seamless workflow and communication

• Complete OSHA training and stay updated on safety regulations and best practices

  Requirements

• Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety management
