Quality Assurance Technician - Days
Tuesday - Friday 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
The hourly wage for this position is $24.00 to $24.97.

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA facility.
What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for performing specialized and routine sampling activities according to established standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements; releases raw materials, blends, bulks, and packaging materials, and assigns appropriate status.
Essential Functions:
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
Clear understanding and adherence to all corporate and plant quality procedures, methodology, and terminology as they apply to production.
Pull samples of incoming packaging materials according to established procedures in adherence to company safety policies and in a sanitary manner.
Review all Quality Control (QC) and Regulatory procedures pertaining to the packaging warehouse area to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards.
Verify identifying information and counts, weight, or measures of items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Perform an inspection (visual) of packaging materials (bottles and caps).
Update and/or complete paperwork/logs as required, including observation reports.
May review and release labels by verifying that labels match approved artwork and color standards.
Create and provide quarantine and release stickers using Bartender.
Review test results (LIMS).
Work closely with all departments and advise of any material or product quality issues.
Update material status in WMS and SAP.
May provide backup support for preparing Certificate of Manufacture (COM) and Certificate of Analysis (COA) to accompany shipments as required.
May provide backup support for preparing COM, Batch Certificate for all Canadian lots and provide documentation to Canada Quality.
Assist QC with preparing batch records as needed.
Scan and review packaging batch records for Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Assist with the maintenance of QAs files.
Carry out projects as assigned by supervisor.
Perform other related duties as required.
What you’ll need:
High school diploma or GED plus three (3) years’ experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
Ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to analyze complex quality system requirements and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts.
Ability to comply with standards and procedures.
Knowledge and good understanding of 21 CFR 110, 21 CFR 111, ANSI 173-2005, and USP Dietary Supplement GMP requirements.
Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire when applicable; work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; lift and carry up to 25 pounds; and perform work onsite in a typical interior/office environment or a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust with no or very limited exposure to physical risk.
