Pacific Power Group Network Engineer in Vancouver, Washington

Salary Range: \$100,000 to \$130,000 annually, based on skills and experience.
Other Job Details: ideally the person in this role would work from the Pacific Power Group Vancouver support office, but there is the flexibility to work from home too. Travel is minimal, less than 10%, and primarily in Washington and Oregon, and occasionally Fort Lauderdale, FL.
* Primary Duties:*
Technology expert and leader in networks and security.
2nd tier systems & network support.
Active participant in design, tuning and ongoing support for our data centers as well as location-specific technologies.
Network security and monitoring.
Occasional travel may be required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong and diverse knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication.
Strong network troubleshooting background.
Capable of working in a complex network environment while architecting a solution to simplify and secure systems simultaneously.
Ability to prioritize long-term efficiencies by performing detailed work up-front, developing: documentation, systems, and routines to reduce technical debt and increase team awareness.
Experience with data centers.
Experience supporting employees at multiple locations including remote.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Works well independently and with a team.
