Neil Jones Food Company Journeyman Plant Electrician in VANCOUVER, Washington
The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a Journeyman Electrician to be responsible for troubleshooting, instrumentation, construction skills, electrical motors, PLC, MCC panels, and gear boxes ladder logic programming a plus. May provide occasional assistance to maintenance personnel at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
- Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
- Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.

Requirements:* *
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ year's commercial/industrial electrical experience.
- Journeyman Electrician Washington State License issued by Washington Labor & Industries or able to obtain EL01 within one year.
- Forklift certification preferred or will train.
- Experience with welding a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November, and pass journeyman's card verification.

The hourly union wage is $40.20 - $45, based on experience and qualifications.
