  • Job #7864 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Electronic Engineer position will support the Telecommunications organization in designing, building, and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure. This includes a wide range of equipment and systems, such as fiber optics, radio systems, power supplies, and communication towers. This position provides professional engineering expertise in assisting the project manager and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews and operations, and other related engineering activities. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay range: $31.52 - $45.04 Benefits:

  • Provide telecommunications scoping input for concept design documents (CDDs) and produce draft detailed design drawings and draft bills of materials and statements of work (SOWs) based on analysis of engineering and design requirements, project parameters, and technical information compiled from multiple sources.
  • Upon request of Project Manager (PM) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), provide technical input and recommendations, as non-voting member of the evaluation and decision-making panel, regarding technical tradeoffs and product compliance to existing policies and standards and budgetary constraints.
  • Perform engineering studies with assistance from TENP Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and document findings in formal reports.
  • Participate in teams to research and test telecommunication and related equipment.
  • Assist in development of requirements for technical specifications for procurement and construction of telecommunications systems and equipment. Provide technical support in the administration of material contracts and project management of turnkey system contracts as requested / directed by COR or Contracting Officer (CO). Approval for all final procurement or contract actions must be received from federal staff.
  • Use standard telecommunications guides, design templates, standards and specifications to scope and design assigned projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of innovative design templates, standards, and specifications for approval by staff, as needed, when existing documentation does not include the needs required by the project situation.
  • Prepare comprehensive final scoping documents and design packages for assigned projects, including final detailed design drawings, draft statements of work (contract design and construction), and all other documents for the telecommunication equipment installation, layout, wiring, and testing for review and approval by staff.
  • Prepare equipment settings sheets and all other documentation required to complete the design packages associated with assigned projects.
  • Provide staff with material and equipment requirements for design projects and assist in preparing material requisitions (MRs) for approval; coordinate with personnel for timely acquisition and delivery of project equipment and materials.
