HP, Inc. Director, Big Data & Strategic Insights in Vancouver, Washington
The Director of Big Data and Strategic Insights leads a team of talented professionals chartered with managing HP Print Solutions\' Big Data for reliable and high quality telemetry and various enrichment data, generating actionable insights to drive tangible business outcomes and developing at-scale models such as for predictive targeted marketing, profiling most value customers, printer recommendations engine to name a few. We are looking for a visionary data science leader who can transform the current organization from focusing on data coverage and optimization to powering strategic business impact by leveraging advanced data science capabilities such as ML/AI/NLP as well as providing thought leadership on benefiting from emerging technologies such as GenAI. Responsibilities: Manage and deliver on technical projects including data engineering, machine learning and predictive models, and bringing models to production Generating new, innovative ideas of next-gen model development and deployment to drive and accelerate business strategies and transformation programs Providing insights to senior management on strategic direction, customer behavior, business outcomes Collaborating with stakeholders across various business units in HP Print and beyond on integration of Big Data into strategic programs Advance data-driven and predictive modeling capabilities of the team, leveraging all available resources throughout Print and HP Provide leadership and vision to develop tools and solutions that incorporate the latest technology and techniques, including GenAI, increase automation and drive a talent strategy that is ready for the future (skills and global location) Manage an organization of 30+ data scientists and engineers across multiple locations in US and India Knowledge and Skills: Ability and experience with providing leadership in defining and articulating vision and roadmap for a team of data scientists and engineers to transform through simplification, automation and meaningful business impact leveraging modern technologies (e.g. GenAI, NLP, ML) Results oriented, analytical thinker with attention to detail Ability to turn data into insights, simplify the complex, and tell a compelling story Strong presentation skills and ability to engage with and influence executive level Experience leading a technical team managing cloud based Big Data (Petabytes), developing impactful solutions, predictive & generative models, and creating compelling insights Demonstrated ability to influence and build partnerships in a matrix organization, including leading alignment on technical roadmaps & PORs with partner organizations in Software and Hardware, championing \"design for data\" mantra Strong program management skills with ability to balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative Experienced people manager with passion for developing talent, managing/guiding a diverse team, setting clear priorities that drive meaningful business outcomes About HP You\'re out to reimagine and reinvent what\'s possible-in your career as well as the world around you.
