  • Job #7939 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This CAD Technician position will support and collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other CAD staff within the Facilities Engineering organization. Responsibilities include creating and modifying detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess strong CAD skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in relevant software and a background in engineering or architecture are preferred. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $33.34 - $47.63 Benefits:

  • Prepare Architectural/Mechanical project designs, sketches, final working drawings, and contract documents for construction using MicroStation CAD software, MS office software, and a variety of equipment.
  • Prepare installation diagrams, building modifications, and design drawings, including standard Architectural/Mechanical details.
  • Perform user file management within CAD systems, such as plotting, printing, accurate storage, retrieval of and returning drawings from ProjectWise.
  • Review contractual Architectural, Mechanical and other engineering discipline's working drawings at various stages of completion for adherence and compliance with CAD standards.
  • Provide routine and ad hoc status updates on CAD work including a summary of activity and project progress as requested.
  • Search for CAD files in ProjectWise database and other filing resources.
  • Review, distribute, and file submittals, shop drawings, material data, and samples.
  • In preparation of the final working drawings, assist the Architect-Engineer with coordination of construction document preparation for signing by authorizing party and publishing.
  • Maintain a thorough familiarity with CAD and design standards.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding methods to improve drawing organization processes and increase productivity.
  • Participate with departmental staff in efforts to improve organizational procedures, processes, or practices to increase efficiencies and/or enhance quality of services.
  • Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails, and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes. Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in computer aided design or a closely related field is preferred.
  • 7 years of CAD experience is required.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (MicroStation or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with technical CAD drafting methods related to architectural and mechanical systems as they apply to building facilities. To view the full job description,
