Riverview Community Bank Business Intelligence Analyst I in Vancouver, Washington

SUMMARY : This position will assist management in making informed business decisions in order to sustain or improve the organization's competitive position.

The salary for this role will be between $66,000 and $89,000. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. Hired candidate may be eligible for healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Utilize the bank’s data to render a picture of organizational performance

  • Interface with management and bank departments to identify and document intelligence needs

  • Use various programs and data extraction tools to obtain data, identify trends, organize information, and generate reports

  • Work with department leaders to analyze information and produce actionable intelligence

  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to identify and prioritize additional data development needs

  • Provide application analysis and data modeling design to collect data for centralized data warehouse.

  • Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems.

  • Standardize data collection by developing methods for database design and validation reports

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project friendliness and professionalism in both appearance and attitude when dealing with customers in order to present a positive Riverview Bank image.

  • Provide technical advice and assistance to credit administrators as needed.

  • Follow all state and federal laws, and all Riverview Bank policies and procedures.

  • Complete all assigned training with passing scores

  • Other duties may be assigned

RELATIONSHIP:

  • Regular contact with Supervisor to receive direction and interpretation on existing and new procedures.

  • Frequent contact with managers and supervisory staff to facilitate data maintenance and reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school. Four years of experience in an analytically focused position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of SQL preferred

SKILLS:

  • Must have the ability to perform system analysis and be able to project and respond to the needs of those utilizing the system.

  • Proficient use of query and reporting analysis tools

  • Prefer advanced technical knowledge relating to Microsoft Office Suite programs, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in a timely manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email. The employee is required to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office. You may also frequently be required to occupy a workstation for long periods of time.
