Description
PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Critical Access Team Lead for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Night position.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $46.10 – $83.87. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.
Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert. Provides professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team. This position will cover Emergency as well as inpatient unit.
Essential Functions
Assigns work; plans and manages priorities, provides technical assistance, oversees staff schedules, monitors quality of work, monitors team projects, mentors staff, provides constructive feedback, oversees staff training, ensures quality improvement, provides leadership feedback on staff performance, and assists with goal setting for the team.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
May coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers; communicates and prioritizes, and provides for patient privacy, exercises discretion and assures confidentiality at all times.
Works collaboratively and professionally with the physicians and Director in the delivery of patient care and problem solving within the department.
Assures continuous patient care including, but not limited to, overseeing the stocking of supplies, medications, and patient care items; staff breaks and lunches; timeliness of patient flow throughout the department and ancillary departments.
Participates in quality and process improvement initiatives through gathering of data, staff education and monitoring utilizing the tools recommend by the organization.
Ensure professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
Will be required to perform patient transport functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing Required: through state Board of Nursing approved program
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience
Required: Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a registered nurse in the specialty area and leadership experience
Required: Demonstrated competency to perform procedures
Credentials
Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice and
Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
Peace Island Medical Center Specific Notes
Minimum of one year recent experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Setting required, leadership experience preferred.
Successfully completes the nonviolent crisis intervention training in orientation and renews training as outlined in policy.
Demonstrated competency to perform procedures as required.
ACLS, ENPC, ENCC, PALS and NRP required within 12 months of hire.
Current WA Food Handler’s Card required at date of hire

Working Conditions
Lifting
Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts).
Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently.
Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
Mental/Visual
Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
