Amazon Principal Product Marketing Manager, Cloud Optimization, AWS Cloud Optimization in Vancouver, British Columbia

AWS Cloud Optimization products and services help our customers develop technical expertise with AWS and learn how to architect their cloud applications for security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, sustainability, and operational excellence. We also help customers manage the health of their environments and implement knowledge management best practices. Through educational guidance content, thorough architecture reviews, supportive tooling, and a network of partners, we help customers make the most of their cloud usage.

This exciting role will lead the marketing team for Cloud Optimization. It’s a small, but mighty team comprised of product marketing, field marketing, and partner marketing specialists. You would set the strategy, coach and manage the team, but also have an opportunity to contribute hands-on to some of the more interesting and complex challenges. In this sense, the role is a player + coach.

Concretely, we support the AWS Well-Architected framework, the Cloud Adoption framework, AWS Health, Trusted Advisor, and AWS re:Post. These offerings exist at the beautiful intersection of earning customer trust by helping promote best practices and reduce risks, and revenue generation as customers deepen their engagement with AWS.

Key job responsibilities

  • Coaching, developing, and managing three direct reports in product marketing, field marketing, and partner marketing

  • Establishing the overall marketing direction for Cloud Optimization, including goals, strategies, and tactics throughout the entire adoption funnel. Aligning the team around a coherent set of activities.

  • Partnering closely with product teams, business development, and central marketing to drive positive outcomes for customers and the business

  • Engaging with leaders across AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) organization to create communication channels that can reach every single technical resource in SMGS and all customers that can benefit from our offerings

Basic Qualifications

  • 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creating GTM initiatives at scale

  • Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, product management, analytics, UX, and research

The base salary for this position ranges from $144,500/year up to $241,300/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
