Title and Summary

Lead Product Manager- Technical

Overview:

The Decision Management Program (DMP) enables intelligent decision-based products through streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility.

The Lead Product Manager - Technical on Mastercard’s DMP will manage products spanning across multiple Mastercard business units (Cyber & Intelligence/Product & Engineering/Data & Services) to design and influence a roadmap that supports meeting the needs of our customers.

This program leverages business rules & AI engines, a streaming big data cluster, in-memory data grids, APIs, & UIs to deliver real-time decisions at a global scale.

This person will be responsible for mentoring the team as well as staying hands-on with day-to-day product operations.

We are looking for a Lead Technical Product Manager to join our DMP team in the Vancouver office.

Role:

• The Lead Product Manager - Technical will convert business requirements into functional requirements (epics, features, user stories) and collaborate with engineering and architecture to refine the product roadmap

• Understand and build relationships with the DMP’s upstream and downstream internal products and stakeholders

• Collaborate with other stakeholders and elaborate the product strategy that encompasses the technical assets/enablers and business value/expected revenue

• Manage communication, expectations, reporting, and meetings across all levels of the business

• Develops and implements new metrics into measurement techniques; works with development teams to develop reports to monitor KPI’s

• Owns the document and vision for feature releases

• Identifies gaps and charters new platform capabilities as required

• Identifies innovations to create features that add more business and customer value

• Determines release goals for the solution and prioritizes assigned features according to business and solution value, adjusting throughout implementation, launch and maturation as needed

• Prepares launches and monitors platform performances, adoption, and operational health for features

• Stays aligned with GTM plans for the products/features

• Identifies and troubleshoots issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time with the desired requirements

• Owns and manages product documentation; enables self-service support and works to reduce overhead

All About You:

• Possess the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform

• Strong technical analysis skills to drive complex application designs and documentation (Functional/Technical/Interface Specifications/User Stories)

• Experience with agile & waterfall development methodologies

• Confident owning the vision, roadmap, and rollout for tech/AI based products

• Experience working with highly technical products in a fast-paced product environment

• Understands and can document and explain the business context/requirements and the associated customer use cases

• Proficient at developing user stories, setting entrance/exit criteria, and prioritizing a platform product backlog

• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional Data Science, Development teams, and the core product business teams

• Possess a deep understanding of technology and can hold their own in highly technical conversations across various stakeholder groups

• Experience liaising between the business and technology and adept at developing solutions when discordant views arise

• Improve team processes that accelerate delivery, drive innovation, lower costs, and improve quality

• Experience with Aha! and Jira are a plus 


Total Base Pay Range

103,000.00 - 165,000.00 CAD Annual
