Position Overview:
Target Land Surveying is seeking a Junior to Intermediate BCLS Project Manager based out of our Langley, BC office. The position is an onsite, in office position. We enjoy engaging and working daily in a team atmosphere. In addition to joining an engaged and healthy work environment, the successful applicant will benefit from access to a company vehicle.
The Project Manager will manage a wide spectrum of survey work including legal and construction surveys for the residential and commercial development industry, transportation industry, community projects, and more, with an emphasis on project completion and client retention.
The successful candidate is expected to complete various duties from estimating and project setup, coordinating field and office teams, checking field returns, completing legal plans, budgeting and cost-control, as well as handling client communications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in developing new client relations and have a strong desire to output high quality work promptly and on budget.
General Responsibilities:
Manage Projects from initial quote through to plan deliverable and billing
Develops each project plan and assigns tasks to appropriate field and office staff
Continuously monitors project progress against budgetary and profit targets, and initiate appropriate changes as required
Ensures each project is carried out according to the standards set out by the company's health and safety program; regulatory requirements; professional requirements; and policies and procedures
Ability and interest in helping grow our client base
Develops quality client relations with focus on business development, and client retention
Keeps abreast of technical, professional, or regulatory developments and can advise clients in their use
Qualifications:
Commissioned British Columbia Land Surveyor
Excellent client liaison abilities in providing high-quality customer experiences
Excellent work ethic, flexibility, maturity, & sound judgment.
Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Demonstrates integrity and leadership in attitude and teamwork
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to seamlessly manage multiple clients & projects.
2+ years' experience surveying in the Lower Mainland (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of TDS Survey Pro data collection software and Leica total stations.
Experience using MicroSurvey Cad program.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Annual Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 (Experience dependent)
