Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, removing exterior panels using tools like an Allen key, and installing battery stacks into containers. You will work with electrical and fluid connections, using various hand tools such as socket wrenches and torque wrenches. The position requires physical tasks, including routing and reaching through tubes and cables. Training will be provided for specific tasks like assembling electrical equipment and using an overhead crane.

Wage

Up to $25/hour.

Shift

The shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments and remove exterior panels.

• Install battery stacks into containers using an overhead crane.

• Work on electrical and fluid connections using socket wrenches and torque wrenches.

• Close battery modules and panels, ensuring they are properly torqued.

• Assemble electrical equipment called DCDC as part of a sub-assembly process.

• Perform tasks on two/three step platform ladders.

• Lift platforms up to 35 lbs, potentially up to 12 times per shift.

• Conduct small painting tasks to repair panels damaged during shipment.

• Route and pull tubes, and fish cables through containers.

• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, Allen keys, torque wrenches, spanners, grinders, crimpers, and cordless drills.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to read English instructions.

• Positive attitude and a go-getter mindset.

• Sense of urgency and recent experience using hand tools (screwdrivers, Allen keys, torque wrenches, spanners, grinders, crimpers, and cordless drills.)

• Recent experience in a similar mechanical assembling role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Experience in the energy sector.

• Proactive with a high sense of urgency.

• Innovative mindset, able to offer suggestions and improvements.
