*Summary *

To assist in the management of the janitorial service operations within guidelines of the Statement of Work (SOW) for each contract.  Assist in Managing contracts in a cost-effective manner by establishing and applying sound management policies pertaining to the organization. Assist in maintaining quality of work based on SOW.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1. Responsible for directly supervising and training of janitorial personnel, and other duties as assigned by the Contract Manager.
  2. Responsible for determining the work to be done and how it is done[,]{.underline} with the Contract Manager.
  3. Responsible for ensuring the completion of work tasks, and the quality of work done by all employees per the SOW in an efficient manner.
  4. Responsible for quality checks on all floors and/or buildings of the contract site.
  5. Responsible for assigning duties as is necessary for the fulfillment of the SOW.
  6. Responsible for keeping the supplies needed to complete job tasks, making sure equipment and supplies are kept in an orderly fashion and fully operational.
  7. Responsible for working within budgeted hours to complete the required work. 
  8. Responsible for keeping records necessary to the operation.
  9. Responsible for updating the safety board monthly and for conducting safety drills.
  10. Responsible for the safety and well-being of employees.
  11. Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.

     

ASSIST CONTRACT MANAGER IN:

  1. Adhering to and maintaining quality control plan, daily issues log, and follow-up customer service.
  2. Meeting required direct labor ratio for people with disabilities, by training and developing them to meet their full vocational potential and maintain stable workforce.
  3. Training all employees in basic disability awareness and issues.
  4. Conducting monthly Safety Meetings.
  5. Ensuring that policies and procedures are properly followed.
  6. Maintenance of equipment, proper utilization.
  7. Updating all records pertaining to CIMS.
  8. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  9. Assisting at other job sites as needed.
  10. Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  11. Ordering supplies.
  12. Other duties assigned at the direction of the Contract Manager

     

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Directly supervise employees, coordinate training, and other duties as assigned by the Contract Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

   

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. 

 

Experience Requirements

 

At least two years' janitorial lead or management experience is required.
