Job Description

An employer in the logistics industry is seeking a full time Air Import Agent to join the team and work onsite in NY or NJ. This person will be responsible for ensuring that clients' shipments are transported safely and without incident. They work with third-party companies to help pay for the items the customer's order. They also look after the cargo personally during its arrival, stay and departure from the airport. This includes tasks such as controlling the weight and balance of cargo on the aircraft by checking the load sheet to ensure flight safety.

Skills and Requirements

2+ Years experience in air frate import (domestic and international)

Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills

Candidates must be self-motivated, customer service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team Experience with imports from Italy

Experience importing dangerous goods null
