ABOUT THE POSITION
The Real Estate Specialist will work with various CEB departments (Accounting, Asset Management, Project Development and Assets/Operations), to prepare and administer real property-related agreements, including leases, easements, option and purchase agreements, and other contracts necessary for the development of renewable energy projects. The Real Estate Specialist will also prepare and implement title curative strategies and obtain and review title commitments, and implement strategies to obtain appropriate title polices in a cost effective manner to protect CEB’s interests.
You must be eligible to work in the US independent of company sponsorship.
Prepare and administer real property-related agreements, including leases, easements, option and purchase agreements, and other contracts necessary for the development of renewable energy projects.
Assist other departments in obtaining title information, reviewing and making recommendations for curing title defects, and assisting in the preparation and implementation of title curatives. Assist in the updating and maintenance of contract templates.
Ensure that final real estate agreements and other documents are properly executed, in complete and final form and filed in CEB’s file management system.
Perform legal research relating to real estate matters and prepare written reports summarizing such research as may be directed by the Manager, Real Estate.
Perform other related tasks as directed by the Manager, Real Estate.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider significant prior corporate experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial leasing and purchasing.
Legal/Paralegal experience desired but not required.
Experience working with real estate professionals, senior management, and/or attorneys in a corporate and/or law firm real estate environment.
Attention to detail, research and exceptional proofreading skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
