Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in Valencia, California

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst I to join our team in Valencia, California. This role revolves around providing exceptional IT support, troubleshooting complex network issues, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge technology environment, interfacing with customers, and utilizing their technical expertise to resolve IT puzzles.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair complex server and infrastructure issues at customer locations.

• Maintain professional conduct in high-pressure situations, keeping customers informed of work progress and any changes to the original plan.

• Utilize specific software to report status, document progress of service requests in real-time, and properly document problems and solutions.

• Keep abreast of new updates and industry trends, troubleshoot problems, and research solutions while protecting customers' data.

• Diagnose problems, inform customers of possible solutions, and implement solutions while maintaining effective communication with customers.

• Maintain a supply of miscellaneous parts as per supply list and transport material when necessary.

• Set up and configure firewalls, routers, and switches, demonstrating an understanding of network protocols and services.

• Administer backups and disaster recovery planning, and handle installation and troubleshooting of new software and upgrades, OS upgrades, and patches for Windows Server & Exchange.

• Exhibit a thorough understanding of Active Directory and group policies, and provide computer & peripheral setup.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues at a server level, and perform virus, spyware, and worm removal and repair.

• Demonstrate the ability to read, write, understand, interpret, and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance.

• Proven experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or a similar IT support position

• Proficiency in managing Active Directory

• Strong knowledge of Hardware and Software

• Experience in Basic Network Troubleshooting

• Ability to perform Hardware Troubleshooting

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware

• Experience with Desktop Hardware

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other IT professionals

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology trends and developments

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
