Acadia Healthcare Transportation Manager in Valdosta, Georgia
Description
TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR: Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events working the under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee all aspects of the transportation department.
Interact with patients, family members, external entities and internal staff professionally and respectfully.
Ensure that facility vehicles are kept in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.
Coordinate daily and any on-call schedules to meet patient transportation needs.
Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance is completed as required.
Schedule drivers for appropriate runs.
May drive facility vehicle to pick up supplies and equipment as needed.
Maintain safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
May assist in hiring process, orientation, and training, scheduling and supervising of transportation staff.
Maintain open communication with other transport team on needed transports to ensure fairly divided trips
Attend all scheduled transport meetings to maintain open line of communication between transport staff
Ensure that keys are secured upon completion of day
Maintain and man transport phones and GLC issued cell phone
Coordinate transport needs of hospital via transport requests
Maintain all licenses needed to drive on city and state roads.
Report to office staff incidents with patients scheduled to be transported to and from group
Assist office staff with filing, outcome measurements and answering phones when not transporting
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Valid Driver’s License, First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
