General Purpose The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the operational management and leadership of one or more retail locations, and is accountable for the productivity, quality, and high customer service within their respective location(s). Regular and Reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Responsible for location and staff adherence to Alpine Bank customer service initiatives. Performs and/or verifies compliance with all location audits. Collaborates with heads of other units to develop best practices for successful banking operations. Practices exceptional service with customers and handles escalated customer concerns. Expert knowledge of Teller and New Account duties. Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors. Mastered the following operational functions: wires, endorsements, basic bookkeeping, ATM settlement, vault balancing, vault cash ordering, safe deposit box entry/exit functions, and basic fraud detection and location s Sets goals for location and staff that are in alignment with regional and bank-wide goals. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Duties: Supervises the Retail Operational staff including, but not limited to: Customer Service and Personal Banking Representatives. Monitors staffing and scheduling; make staffing adjustments and recommendations as necessary. Resolves customer and employee complaints. Responsible for providing quality training in the department business line. This includes selecting the appropriate training materials for training employees, coordinating training programs with management, delivering effective training and executing training assessments/follow up training. Hires the most qualified and talented individuals to fill open positions. Works with department staff on individual professional development. Provides input to the Branch Manager regarding annual performance reviews and professional development plans. Has the ability to give overrides and audit drawers. Per location request-dormant A or B status may be given if needed. Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. Job Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills. Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations. High quality organizational and administrative skills. Expert knowledge of the daily location functions and duties. Proficiency in interviewing and selection of applicants. A customer Service oriented individual. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic mathematical and cash handling skills. Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops. Current possession, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public is a plus. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Education or Formal Training: Certification or coursework in banking or supervision, a plus. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business is preferred. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License is required. Experience: 1-3 years of cash handling and/or customer service related experience; bank experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred, or having experience working as an Operations Specialist. Proven experience providing excellent customer service. Working Conditions Working Environment: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. There are prolonged periods of standing in a generally fast-paced environment. Some evening and weekend hours may be included. Occasional tra el may be required. Physical Activities: These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands standing for long periods of time, good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and ability to handle some mental stress when dealing with upset customers. May spend significant time doing computer work while occasionally needing to travel for conferences or meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 50 pounds.
