Xylem Manager - Plastic Product Engineer in Vadodara, India

Brief Description/Job Summary :

GCC Vadodara campus seeks to hire a candidate to lead plastic product engineering group and oversee multiple product development and sustain engineering projects. In this position, the suitable candidate should also execute the projects on partial capacity for our global engineering centers. Candidate must have end-to-end plastic product development experience and able to mentor & inspire the teammates. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skill. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end product development execution including designing, engineering, co-ordination for manufacturing, testing and piloting and product release

  • Leading and mentoring group of plastic product engineers

  • Create, maintain essential product release documents and lead discussion with multifunctional teams

  • Selection of various grades of plastic, rubber and metallic materials per application and cost viability.

  • Independently perform the task

  • Communicate with cross-functional and cross-cultural team.

Must Have:

  • 10-15 years of end-to-end product development experience for plastic product engineering with OEM industry

  • Sound understanding of various grades of plastics, best engineering and manufacturing practices

  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding process and simulation

  • Hands-on experience of 2D/3D CAD tools & PDM windchill.

  • Resource management experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and technical qualities

Good to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Creo 3D modelling

  • Knowledge of tool, jig & fixture making and mold-flow simulation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Tech./ BE in Mechanical/Plastic engineering

  • 10-15 years of end-to-end product development experience for plastic product engineering with OEM industry

  • Resource management experience
