Job Description Summary

Install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment. Supervise employees who perform maintenance and tool making. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that equipment and tools are in good condition for use. Propose plans for preventive maintenance and corrective action.

  • Maintenance- Carryout preventive & breakdown maintenance of electrical, mechanical & civil maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery. Ensure effective implementation of Preventive Maintenance and adherence to >90% having closed coordination with respective shop managers.

  • Critical spares management, collaboration with OEM and users for timely execution of AMC for critical equipment

  • Utilities: Maintenance of STP Plant, 66kV Switch Yard, 11kV Substation, Distribution Transformers etc, DG Set, Fire Hydrant System, Electrical Distribution System, PCC panel, Air Compressors. It also includes, street light maintenance, plumbing, drainage system, storm water system, building maintenance, canteen equipment maintenance, HVAC System of office building (VRF System, Split AC, Cassette AC etc.,), RO Plant, etc., Maintaining & monitoring & Process Water chillers having installation of >1800 Ton

  • Maintenance Knowledge on Cranes, Ovens, Material Handling Equipment.,

  • Erection & commissioning of equipment & machinery

  • Statutory: Comply with statutory requirements for Stack, air, noise, illumination, STP, Drinking Water, lifting slings & shackles, pressure vessels, Fire Hydrant System, electrical inspectorate, state electricity board, weight & measure department, GPCB, etc.,

  • Implement JH Pillar of TPM for critical equipment & machinery.

  • Measure & monitor MTTR, MTBF for critical machines.

  • Cost Out Projects: Identify cost out opportunities & drive energy reduction measure.

  • Coordinate with suppliers for ensuring EHS & HR Compliance during execution. Ensure timely delivery of the services and validation of service. Ensuring timely payment of suppliers in accordance with payment terms.

  • Demonstrates outstanding technical knowledge and fundamental engineering concepts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • 15 - 20 years of experience in Maintenance department (Preferably Transformer Industry)
